Wehby addresses stalking accusations, says Dems engaged in 'politics of personal destruction'
(CNN) - Monica Wehby, who won this week’s Republican primary for Senate in Oregon, is addressing separate instances of alleged harassment brought to light during her campaign.
A pediatric neurosurgeon, Wehby told conservative radio host Lars Larson that Democrats have turned to "politics of personal destruction" by digging up these accusations.

"For the Democrats to be willing to try to shred my family and drag my kids and my friends through this again, you know, just for their own political gain," she said. "How can they sleep at night doing this? Do they not realize what this does to kids?"

Asked by Larson about the two instances - one involving her now ex-husband and another an ex-boyfriend - Wehby described the events as isolated instances, and not an indicator of her character as a candidate.
Her ex-boyfriend accused her last year of entering his home without permission and stalking him.
"I just wanted to clarify things because I needed some closure," Wehby said of the incident, first reported by Politico.
"People understand that when your heart's broken, sometimes we say and do things that we don't mean, but I have to say Lars, on that police report, the one thing that I found the most hurtful was that Andrew had described me as medium build," she joked, also noting that he has since said he regrets calling the police.
On the one involving her ex-husband, Wehby said she couldn't remember what exactly they were fighting about and chalked up the event to "tense moment" in the midst of a custody battle for their children.
"To be honest with you, I can't remember the details, but I do remember that I had a post-it note in my hand and I was talking on the phone and he came up towards me and I kind of swatted it away like you were swatting a fly away," she said.
In both cases, Wehby said she now has good relationships with both, adding that they contributed to her campaign.
She’ll face Democratic Sen. Jeff Merkley in November.

I have to agree, using this as a means of slander seems a bit low. No democrat has ever done anything dumb when there heart was broken? Not a fan of GOP policies but taking advantage of someone's broken heart is not just somewhat low, but really low and dirty.

Lars Larson is a Limbaugh-wannabe, right-wing hack. On the one hand, he thinks it's OK for an employer to deny women healthcare coverage based on the corporate owners "religious beliefs" (Hobby Lobby) and on the other hand thinks being fired for saying inflammatory things while representing your employer is unfair and yet another example of lame-stream media control by Liberal overloads (HGTV).
