Obama goes for a walk
(CNN) - President Obama stunned tourists and others outside of the White House as he decided to take a stroll to the nearby Interior Department, accompanied by his sizable security detail.
The White House posted video of the rare outdoor trek, which took place Wednesday.
Obama shook hands, hugged, took photos and passed out White House M&M's to the surprised passers-by.
One woman, who introduced herself as Karen, asked for a picture and said it was "the best day of her life."
"Oh my gosh. Someone's going to think you're like wax," she added, as the photo was being taken.

I don't care what your politics are. If a person gets an opportunity to shake hands with the President of the United States it's HUGE!. Notice that not one person turns their back and walks away. I would even have enjoyed shaking the hand of George Bush..... it's the President, folks. Happens I like this one so....wow. I'm envious.
Obama has to have his daily photo ops, to keep himself in celeb central.
Poor Republicans. People don't like your presidents anymore. Not even Reagan.

I would have avoided him. Him and his Obamacare program is going to bankrupt this country.
The only demographic that feels Obama is trustworthy and capable of doing the job are Democrats. (At 80% approximate average, frightening group think)
Independents and Republicans (The Majority of Americans) no longer believe in his leadership ability. (Asked on a range of questions: Trustworthy, ability to do the job, cares about people like us, etc.)

Politics aside it has to be an honor to meet the President.

What, do you think that they HIRED extra security for this walk? They are already on the payroll, like they are, still, for every living President. ( I could have ended this comment at: "do you think" ; clearly, you don't.)
good–stay out of the WH and maybe the VA, IRS, Libra, and all the other scandals will go away. PLUS since he learns about any scandal from news reports maybe some citizen will give him the info to run the WH.

I agree with a few others, regardless what you think of Obama and his policies he's still the President. We all should be happy to shake his hand and be pleased that we met the President of the United States!
instead of working he is out strolling, no wonder why he never knows what is going on our government..

these "folks" probably were shocked .. they thought he floated .. since he is the DEMS messiah ... glad he is busy at work doing something about : Benghazi, VA Hosp, IRS , Fast and Furious , etc,etc

If you make up a factoid, it should at least seem like a real story.
Seems about what he is capable of. Walking and handing out M&M's.
Calm down people.... he is just taking a walk to the closet news stand to get a newspaper so he can find out what is going on in his administration. It also makes for a good "man of the people" photo op, you know, a feel good story. It helps battle that last story about our veterans dying at the hands of his incompetent administration.
He really cares. Only those whom he beat them twice have hard feeling on him.
Like he doesn't have anything better to do...maybe he'll see the walk on TV tonight and say again "I found out about this the same way you did, from the news...".
