Obama goes for a walk

(CNN) - President Obama stunned tourists and others outside of the White House as he decided to take a stroll to the nearby Interior Department, accompanied by his sizable security detail.

The White House posted video of the rare outdoor trek, which took place Wednesday.

Obama shook hands, hugged, took photos and passed out White House M&M's to the surprised passers-by.

One woman, who introduced herself as Karen, asked for a picture and said it was "the best day of her life."

"Oh my gosh. Someone's going to think you're like wax," she added, as the photo was being taken.

It's not a partisan thing, he's just a horrible president. I see no value in meeting him or any other president for that matter. They are just figureheads, and getting paid via our money. Not respectable, to me.

How much do you think those M&M's will sell on eBay for?

Yes, it would be a great opportunity to shake the hand of the POTUS even if you disagree with his policies. Even just to show other countries that we have respect for the leader of our country in which we live.
You must admit, some of the disrespectful behavior that has been shown to him is embarrassing and downright pitiful!

And which story just put you over the top to conclude this?
(not hyperbole – these are all out there in tin foil land)
    – Obama conspiring to allow him a third term
    – Benghazi plot and cover-up
    – Obama can change the weather and cause hurricanes
    – Obama has appointed a czar of death panels
    – Obama is hiding his birth certificate

Best President since Ike, and like most Americans, I'm proud of my nation and President.

America: Love it or Leave It.

I hear there are a lot of Republicans moving to Saudi Arabia these days – a country more in line with their thinking.

Bush might have done the same thing but it would've taken too much time getting everyone to sign a pledge prior to shaking hands.

Obama could be discovered as Jesus Christ and the Teabrains would still be hurling insults at him. Take a break. It must be tough holding onto so much bigotry and hate. WHEW!

I heard he had a couple drones clear a path before he stepped outside. Seriously though, it would be pretty cool to meet a US President, regardless of whether or not you agree with his policies.

This 's the beauty of this country. I guess people would appreciate the US more if they had lived in other countries.

It could be that Obama was revealed to be Jesus Christ and the Teabrains would still be insulting him and calling him names.'

If he walked on water they would condemn him as being anti small ferry businesses.
Then again they do like calling him 'messiah' (they are the only ones that use that term when talking about him) so maybe they already think he is jesus.

No matter who is in office, there will be unhappy people. Until they get term limits in congress, get rid of the ridiculous retirement programs of congressmen and presidents, get rid of lobbyist, bring back line level veto, etc, nothing will change. Do I like Obama's policies....no. But I don't criticize him taking a walk. He seems to be a very personable guy. Some people will hate everything he does out of politics. No one is wrong 100% of the time. Congress is the biggest point of failure. Yet we keep electing the same bozos in there. We let television brainwash up (both sides) into who we want to run. It is time to clean house and demand more of Washington.
