Washington (CNN) - New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will campaign in New Hampshire this month for Walt Havenstein, a Republican running for his party's gubernatorial nomination, a New Hampshire GOP source tells CNN.
Christie is chairman of the Republican Governors Association, the fundraising and political organization charged with helping to elect GOP gubernatorial candidates.

But the New Jersey governor's appearance is sure to also spark speculation that he is beginning the process of introducing himself to Granite State Republican voters, who traditionally cast the first primary ballots in the presidential nominating process.
Christie is one of several Republicans considering a 2016 run for the White House.
