(CNN) - Marco Rubio on Wednesday added his voice to GOP-fueled criticism over the U.S. decision to swap five terror detainees for Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl.
Rubio told CNN's Wolf Blitzer that President Barack Obama, by authorizing the swap, has endangered “countless American men and women in uniform across the globe."

Appearing on “The Situation Room,” Rubio said the exchange creates an "incentive" for militants abroad to snatch Americans with the hopes of trading for terror captives.
Official: Army will review freed soldier Bergdahl's case – but it's not first priority
He also said the decision ”will lead to five terrorist members of the Taliban returning to the battlefield to kill Americans” – echoing the language of a number of Republicans critical of the trade.
The five Taliban detainees were transferred from the Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, detention facility to Qatar, which brokered the deal.
Rubio, slamming President Barack Obama's foreign policy is nothing new. The Republican senator from Florida and potential 2016 presidential candidate has consistently blamed Obama's policies abroad as the catalyst of America's slipping status in the world.
Rubio, a member of the Senate Intelligence and Foreign Relations committees, adds another high-profile voice to a growing chorus demanding more explanation on the White House’s decision.
Democrats, specifically Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, however are charging that Republicans are merely playing politics with the logistics of the negotiation.
Inconsistencies from both sides in Bergdahl release
After a closed-door briefing Wednesday night, Rubio said the classified session shed little light on the situation.
“I remain as deeply skeptical about this as I did before this conversation that we just had with the administration. For two days now, we've asked questions, many of which have not yet been fully answered,” he said.
Republicans and Democrats have said this week that the administration long ago promised to consult Congress before negotiating a prisoner swap, but said they hadn’t heard anything more about it until the deal was done.

Says the water boy
Having you open your mouth, does pretty much the same thing, Maybe they will get the idea how to demonize us from people like you, who keep harping on the subject.
The release of the 5 now puts them back into the enemy combatant category . Monitored by drones.
LOL! No it doesn't. Lame lame lame. Looks like the GOP/Teatrolls doesn't just get off on torturing Gitmo prisoners, but also torturing reasoning.
Have you seen that detention center, LOL, it's a mansion, nice place to be detained.
Huh? Republicans using baseless scare tactics? No way!
So true, but Obumbles has been out to destroy America since day one.
Kindly i say to the dem voter the definition of a stupid is knowing the truth seeing the truth but still believing the lies .
-bull, this idiot just wants to say something to be in the limelight. Whether you believe it or not, I am glad he is home. Nevertheless there is a swapping took place. Do you want Berdhal to get killed? Nonsense. I say this to all these republican idiots–Muslim world is not ready for democracy–you do not know them.
What did we go to afghan for, that the fit hit the fan, nothing has changed in reality
The GOP FAIRY Marco Rubio never served in uniform and the GOP SAVIOR won't even get realected here in Florida , you have to represent the WHOLE STATE of Florida , NOT JUST the TEAPARTY and Cubans!!!!!
Rubio, why don't you just stick to bengazzzzzi.your other FAKE GOP fairy tale??????
Reagan gave billions of dollars worth of guns and other war materials to Iran for hostages ,but the military industrial complex made a bundle of it ,not a peep from Republicans then
The Cuban water boy rises from the ashes and who cares?
The potential teaklan list is a joke bigger than why has he lost weight too?
As if the continued undermining of our duly elected president doesn't put Americans at risk by portraying weakness and instability.
Personally I think the president should hold a press conference and tell these whining children that he is the HNIC. The explosion of heads on the right would be epic
Nothing could be more OBVIOUS!
Maybe someday Rubio will stop embarrasing himself. His blind attacks make him sound clueless, angry and shallow. That, added to his obnoxious personality, is making him the new GOP puchline. Rubio, cállate ya.
Stop covering this guy.. He insults the intelligence of everyone whenever he opens his mouth.
The repubs fear mungering machine is at again, no wonder why Americans are known to be the scariest people on the planet. Any where repubs see an opportunity to ride politics they jumps on the opportunity and it don't matter how many feeble repubs teabagging minds they take down stream
Cubans who pretend to be Americans put Americans in danger. Especially ones who have a little power.
As a Veteran myself , when did we start negotiating with terrorist. That is exactly what we did. To an American who deserted his country. So my Question is what did we gain by doing this? All we proved to the world now is that we negotiate with terrorist and put a target on many Americans that wear the uniform so Obama can look like he did something for once
Rubio has shown he is really immature. He wants to become a leader and still he tells enemies what to do? What kind of thinking is that? Does he think if he becomes a leader (god forbid), all enemies will disappear and forget what he told them to do? Take a sit young lad. There is still a lot for you to learn. You can't lead.
Right, like our troops were never in danger before ... Rubio is a tool!
Hey, Marco, how did you feel about Rumsfeld excusing not properly protecting our soldiers in Iraq by saying that you "go to war with the army you have"?
What about THAT endangerment, Marco?
When President Obama makes any kind of decision, I immediately begin guessing what the Republican response will be – and it will definitely be negative. If the President had not traded the soldier for the five prisoners, rest assured the Republicans would have taken exactly the opposite stance and would be lambasting him for the opposite of whatever they're lambasting him for now. Never fails. So sick of it.
