Bush 41 jumps on his 90th birthday

(CNN) - Former President George H.W. Bush Thursday celebrated his 90th birthday by skydiving near his summer home in Kennebunkport, Maine.
After what appeared to be a hard landing, Bush spokesman Jim McGrath told CNN that after the morning jump, the former president "is doing great."

Bush jumped in tandem with Mike Elliott, the same man he has jumped with several times before. Bush had previously parachuted seven times – once when he was shot down as a Navy pilot during World War II and the other six voluntary, including jumps to celebrate his 75th, 80th and 85th birthdays.
"He loves the adrenaline. He loves the jolt. He loves the thrill," McGrath added.
"It's a wonderful day in Maine - in fact, nice enough for a parachute jump," the former president tweeted Thursday morning, in announcing he was going to jump.
Former First Lady Barbara Bush was "fully on board," McGrath said.
At 90, Bush 41 enjoys 'life to the fullest'
Despite suffering from a form of Parkinson's disease that restricts him to a wheelchair, Bush was committed to jump. He had pledged five years ago to do a jump on his 90th birthday.

He uses a wheelchair to get around and is jumping out of airplanes? That is crazy. He could really get hurt on that landing.
He's a nice old guy. Not too many repubs like him left. Most of them are crazy nowdays.
He should be doing this over Iraq.

I was not a fan of George H W Bush, or his son George W Bush when both were president, however. I can give him kudos for jumping out of an aircraft for his 90th birthday.

-removal of Saddam is a huge mistake by USA. Look, there is turbulence, with Saddam sight only middle-east was stable. Now, entire nation in chaos. Pulling troops is not a mistake while USA can not afford to spend. Don't rant on it. Bush idiocy caused chaos.
He isn't jumping out of airplanes or jumping at all. He is riding on someone who is jumping. This is not to disparage his courage nor his physical condition, remarkable for his age, it is simply the truth.

Agreed it is all horrible but if you look at all comments on this thread it is about 5 to 1 Bush/Repubs to Obama/Dems bad comments.....
Maybe he needs to do something really daring. Visit his son, the one that was appointed to the Oval Office, and demand an explanation on why he screwed it up so much for Jeb. Then do another parachute jump into Iraq.
Democrats and Obama have shown all red states they despise them, hate them, loath them, think they are leeches and trailer dwelling red necks with no teeth. Why would ANY red state voter vote for a Democrat so they can go to Washington and vote in lock step with Obama and Democrats that would like nothing better than to see all red states persecuted like Arizona has been?
