Obama to Republicans: 'So sue me'
(CNN) - President Barack Obama dared Republicans to follow through on their threats to bring a lawsuit against his administration over his use of executive action.
"Middle-class families can’t wait for Republicans in Congress to do stuff. So sue me," Obama said Tuesday at an event in Washington.

"As long as they’re doing nothing, I’m not going to apologize for trying to do something."
Obama’s defiant attitude comes as House Speaker John Boehner, a Republican from Ohio, plans to propose legislation that could bring a lawsuit against him for implementing executive actions that the GOP contends amounts to a breach of his constitutional power by side-stepping the legislative process.

Recently, Obama has ramped up his use of executive authority as a way to bypass a deeply divided Congress, avoiding inaction on issues the White House has made hallmarks of the President's second term agenda.
On Monday, Obama said he would start "a new effort to fix as much of our immigration system as I can on my own, without Congress."

At Tuesday's event, Obama continued to harp on congressional Republicans to pass legislation - this time pushing them to invest in transportation.
Standing in front of Key Bridge, which connects the city's Georgetown-area to Virginia, Obama continued his stepped-up rhetoric hammering Republican for obstructing action in Washington.
Obama proposed a long-term highway construction bill earlier this year that he says would spur job growth.
"It’s not crazy, it’s not socialism," Obama said of his transportation proposal. "It’s not the imperial presidency - no laws are broken. We’re just building roads and bridges like we’ve been doing for the last, I don’t know, 50, 100 years. But so far, House Republicans have refused to act on this idea."

Democrats have had thousands of dollars being poured in because of this, yet they still think Republicans are the ones who are rich and need their taxes raised. Why can't we just call it what it is? Obama is a rich, wealthy 1% who is using the sympathy of the poor to promote his totalitarian regime.

Hey GB333, we all know people just like you! You are a yellow dog Democrat. The truth is Obama is the most unqualified candidate. He would be King Obama if he had his way and YOU would let him. His foreign policies are non -existent, he consistently lies about everything, Benghazi happened because of his poor judgement, he is the punisher in chief and sends his IRS goons out to do his dirty work. And now we have a man made immigration crisis because he will not enforce our laws.while the people smugglers are keeping the Border Patrol busy, their Buds are busy smuggling in drugs. Obama is right. Republicans have blocked any legislation just because Obama proposed it. Just goes to show how much they care about this country.
Is this the same guy who (in 2010) said that Republicans "have to ride in the back" because he held all three of the Executive Office, the House, and the Senate? Is it any wonder that he can't get the Republicans to help him with anything?

1) The time President Obama waived Obamacare for Unions, but not for you.
2) The time The Obama Administration spied on journalists and wouldn’t say why.
3) The time President Obama decided to attend the Senate Democrats retreat but not campaign with any of them.
4) The time President Obama restricted journalists from taking video and photos of him. Instead forcing them to use media provided by the White House.
5) The time President Obama delayed the KeystoneXL pipeline for more than 5 years, costing tens of thousands of jobs.
6) The time President Obama told you, you could keep your health plan even though he knew you couldn’t.
Doing something constitutionally illegal for the sake of doing "something", then blaming it on Congress shows just how pathetically lacking in leadership skills is this occupier of the Oval office. Taunting and threats shows disregard, if not outright contempt, for the Constitutional balance of powers designed specifically to limit power grabs by wing nuts like him.

I'm sure the Republicans will sue Obama, isn't he like 0-9 before the courts already. Why would Obama, with such a losing record in the courts, actually dare to be brought before the courts again?
Now imagine if the Republicans take control of both houses in November. If that happens THEN all this posturing, blustering, and other childish actions from Obama will be met with impeachment. Congress is doing the job they were elected to do...stop Obama. Elections have consequences, eh Obama? Well, ramming through Obamacare against the wishes of half the nation will have consequences too. Spying on citizens will have consequences. Turning a blind eye to law enforcement will have consequences.
Obama might yet end up in jail much less impeached and sued before all is said and done. The man is evil.

I voted for him initially but soon realize he has some serious issues with the country he was elected to run. So many uneducated comments on this article! pretty crazy. Before you say something please back up your POV and give us something to think about. As a younger aged [R] I don't think Obama should be "impeached" or "sued" or anything. I don't agree with some of the things or ways he handles things, but to say he has done nothing as president is just an extreme example of bias. I respect our POTUS because I love america, and I have the utmost respect for our country. I even think that a good amount of [R] elected officials are poisoning our party! Give me a respectable and honest leader and give the [D] party a worthy adversary in the next presidental election, and I'll be happy. Elect [R] canidates into Congress that will make us look respectable and not be "The Stupid Party" and actually will work with any bill that comes through. [D] can have some good ideas. Let those ideas through and look at the progress as a country we will make. Unfortunately there are extremists on both sides, and will vote no to any bill that doesnt 100% fit into thier partisan agenda. I hope the direction the country is going in will turn for the better, no matter what party is in "control".
This administration is the most corrupt in history. Obama has violated the Constitution countless times. Suing is nonsense, impeachment is a better idea. Eric Holder should be included.
