Clinton to make third appearance on "The Daily Show'

(CNN) - Hillary Clinton will sit down Tuesday with "The Daily Show's" Jon Stewart.

Comedy Central announced Clinton's appearance on Monday. It will be her third time on the program and her first since 2008, as she was campaigning for the Democratic presidential nomination against then-Sen. Barack Obama.

Clinton, the former secretary of state, first lady and senator, is weighing a second bid for the White House. Her appearance comes as she promotes her new memoir "Hard Choices."

Stewart hosted Clinton in March of 2008, a day before crucial primaries in Ohio, Texas, Rhode Island, and Vermont. She also appeared on the show in 2003 during the launch of her first memoir "Living History."

CNN's Dana Davidsen contributed to this report.

I hope she gets paid the $230,000, or whatever the number is, for her speaking appearance.

good on her. Jon Stewart is very good at conducting an interview. I am hoping he asks real questions and unpacks some of what Hillary is selling to the country. She needs to do some 'splaining, and this could be a great place to let that happen, with the classic stewart tact.

The only woman who makes the rich righties wet themselves, now that's funny everytime! Who does the gop have, all their candidates are in legal trouble, or had big legal troubles, its just their nature to ignore laws they don't like. Walker, no good, has no respect for election rules, Christie, he could be in jail, others are just out there a little to far to have a serious chance, nope, your not going to see the white house for decades, what ever you do don't ask why, you already know

The comedy channel is the correct place for all democrats to appear. Obama and his policies have been one bad joke after another. Hillary Clinton was a joke Secretary of State. She accomplished nothing in 4 years except waste a record amount of jet fuel and get 4 Americans killed in Benghazi. Then lied about it.

"Obama has kept millions unemployed for a record length of time while running up $8 TRILLION in debt. That is what is hurting Americans."

LOL...says the blind supporter of the folks who brought the gov't to a standstill ON PURPOSE because they lost an election and think the only way to get back into power and win new adherents to their ideology is to "break gov't to prove it's broken" and thereby prevent any success by the other party. And we've been over this before, Captain Sockpuppet: the Bush tax cuts, unfunded Iraq war, unfunded Afghanistan war and the recession are responsible for creating almost all of the increase in national debt while Obama's been POTUS...not to mention the fact that he's brought the budget deficit down to the lowest it's been in 7 years and we even showed a surplus of $71B for June 2014, etc. etc., numbers make you look foolish something something cry about it.

"The stock market is making rich people even richer. Most Americans aren't in the stock market. You need to extract your head from the backside to understand that Wall St. =/= Main St."

I'd bet both my thumbs you were yammering constantly about the DOW when it was still in the toilet. The stock market is making rich people richer but those rich people still aren't creating jobs and their riches still aren't trickling down. There's a reason for that: we're in a demand vacuum caused by the GOP/Teatrolls/conservatives' plutocratic, anti-labor, beat-the-middle-class-into-submission policies and agenda. Until they stop obstructing everything and anything that would help increase, not just stabilize, demand, then things are going to stay this way and the wealth gap will continue to widen at an ever-accelerating rate....just like they want it to.

  8. The Republican Party Is Dead To Me

Amazing. Sarah (I've got rocks in the block), Palin can make all the money she wants. Sarah, speaks as if the moon were made of cream cheese and the cow not only jumped over the moon, but actually purchased a piece of it while flying over. She gets paid for absolutely nothing, and the republicans fawn over her as if she were a rock star. Hillary, on the other hand gets told shes old and needs to retire, and her fees are too high. Republicans are all clowns, and real close to the posterior at that. Ass clowns to be redundant.

Let's see now, would any of the leading conservatives for 2016 appear anywhere, except on "America's News Channel"/ No. Pres. Obama has appeared on Fox, and late night shows. Clinton is doing the hard and hostile interviews.

What about conservatives? Romney did appear on David Letterman in 2012, but all he did was read the top 10. Anyone else. Rand Paul made a memorable appearance on Rachel Maddow, and will probably never appear on an MSNBC show again, unless the show is hosted by Joe Scarborough. Who else? No one I can think of.

Yup, she's got splainin to do because the answers she gave aren't what you wanted to hear. Last I checked she answered every question, just because she didn't give the answers you need to feel good, doesn't make them lies, have you proof she lied answering any question, nope, so she must be hiding something,.....sigh....

"Then please do explain the record food stamp recipients, record unemployment, record debt, record government dependents. "

Pretty simple: we've enacted policies that redistribute all of the country's wealth upwards AND IT NEVER COMES BACK DOWN. We then do the absolute bare minimum to assuage our national conscience that at least some token effort is being made to care for all the people those policies have left poor, unemployed, undereducated, undertrained, etc. It's not really debatable. It's nothing more than doublethink and circular logic to cite the poverty levels created by plutocracy as evidence that the gov't programs plutocracy made necessary were actually at fault.

She is retired, she does not work for our goverment or a CEO of a company. And because of that she can charge as mush as she likes for speaking. I do not undertand why people get so crazy. Until she says that she will run for office, she can do whatever she likes, because she is a civilian.

@It must be said: "The comedy channel is the correct place for all democrats to appear. "

Bill Kristol's been on; so has Lynne Cheney. John Ashcroft. James Baker. Henry Kissinger. Colin Powell. Tom Ridge. Donald Rumsfeld. Christine Todd Whitman. John McCain. Trent Lott. Kay Bailey Hutchinson. Rand Paul. Rick Santorum. Henry Bonilla. Newt Gingrich. John Bolton. Mike Huckabee. Rudy Guilliani.

See what you can discover when you use your computer for something other than doing a copy-paste of today's RWNJ talking points?

"Obama has kept millions unemployed for a record length of time while running up $8 TRILLION in debt. That is what is hurting Americans."

Bush hid the cost of two wars and Medicare Part D. President Obama has been treating us like adults by putting those costs on the books and addressing the flawed economic policies that tanked our – and the world's – economy.

What do you have against being responsible?

Saw this interesting stat the other day:

    Obama campaign fund raisers: 393
    Bush campaign fund raisers: 216

Now this was for the same time period! Sure does tell you what Obama thinks his job is doesn't it? And the real bad news is the American taxpayer got to pay for all these. 393 has to have a cost into the hundreds of millions of dollars.

It would figure that liberals and Democrats watch a comedy show on the Comedy Channel for their 'news and facts"! Talk about low information low IQ voters. Then there are the useful college idiots that believe liberal tripe because they are being indoctrinated in liberal schools by leftist professors. Democrats thrive on the low end of our society. Dummies that'll believe anything and are looking for something for nothing.

It should be interesting how badly Steward hits her. He will ask the hard questions in a funny way, but they need to be asked. I would like to know if there would a conservative counter to this - Fox News questions everything she said on that show and takes what is in humor seriously.

She has 'splaining to do because her message has been packaged up with a whole lot of garbage. John Stewart can ask poignant questions that get to the heart of what policies she will/wont support. Let her unpack her message, Stewart will call bullpoo when necessary, but in a tactful way, let her explain, and wont try to keep her pinned to the bullpoo.

Somebody get a hose for these frothing left lunatics, I was saying this is a good move for her.

And still has been able to recover the economy, get millions covered for health insurance, keep us out of wars, and protected us from domestic terrorist attacks.

Exactly! This is the core world view of the conspiracy-based conservative. If I don't like it or agree, it must be an evil plot. Look at that McDaniel's primary thing. It was all GOP and TP being nasty and devious, but they still blamed the outcome on liberals or some evil cover-up. I am surprised the Illuminati are not in the story line.

  24. The Real Tom Paine

Well, I guess the Right would not understand the value of going on Comedy Central, since they have their own joke of a network on FOX, the Rightie affirmation network. Has anyone ever seen the labored attempts the Right makes at cracking jokes on FOX? My god, what an embarrassing spectacle to sit through. I would actually classify their attempts at imparting information as being akin to farce, although I'm sure its unintended on their part. The sad things is, they take themselves SOOO seriously on there.
