(CNN) - Voters in the first state to allow the sale of recreational marijuana say pot use should be limited to the home or members-only clubs, with no lighting up in bars or clubs, according to a new poll.
A Quinnipiac University survey released Monday also indicates that a majority of Colorado voters still support legal marijuana sales, six months after the law kicked in.

Two-thirds of those questioned say marijuana use should be legal at home or in members-only clubs, with an similar amount saying pot shouldn't be legal in bars and clubs where alcohol is served. Two-thirds also say marijuana shouldn't be legal at entertainment events where admission is charged. And just over six in ten say laws regulating marijuana should be as strict as those regulating alcohol use.
"Coloradans are still good to go on marijuana for recreational use in private settings, but as far as letting the good times roll in bars and clubs where alcohol is served, voters say don't smoke 'em if you've got 'em,'" said Quinnipiac University poll assistant director Tim Malloy.

@Malory-Are you really trying to argue there are no negative side effects to smoking pot? We have come terms with the dangers of tobacco and alcohol use and portray pot as some how being safer is complete denial.
Thats funny = there was no such poll because the majority do NOT feel that way. Nice media lie there

The problem is you can drive after 1 beer you cannot drive after just 1 hit of pot.

Really? That must be some mighty powerful weed you're smoking, and some pretty weak beer you're drinking.
__________
Maybe Anonymous meant LEGALLY "you can rive after 1 beer you cannot drive after just 1 hit of pot."
However, I remember many years back, one hit of The Good Stuff did at least as much as one beer.
BTW, I still feel pot is safer than booze for driving.
@smith
Second hand smoke does not get you high and will not cause you to fail a drug test.
Please don't post information if you are not sure, you muddy up the waters of a reasonable conversation.
There are Smith, I spend a fortune on cookies and chips, ha!
Dragonballs
Good luck trying to enforce at home or at private clubs. Dopers are not known for being altruistic or law abiding. They are substance abusers and the only person they care about is themselves and getting high.

Some folks are not known for perceptive and insightful remarks. Can someone please tell this person that the law legalized marijuana for private, recreational use? Can someone tell this person that it is usually a good idea to read the article, or at least understand the issue, before commenting about it.
Sounds more like the liquor companies lobbying to keep a hold on their turf. Most bar folk likely couldn't care less. Only the pretentious fufu establishments might take offense of such vulgarity.
Some of us have to work...and for those low-life's to light up around us working folk and making us test positive for drugs is not a good deal...
...so light them up at home where no one else smells that foul smell...
Kind of a generalization, don't you think @Dragonaballs?
I voted for legalizing Marijuana. I choose not to smoke Marijuana and agree it should not be smoked in bars. If those who choose to smoke Marijuana were allowed to be smoke in bars. Then I would be forced to breathe the second hand smoke and take the chance of getting high.
