New Rand Paul book to debut in 2015

(CNN) - In another sign that Sen. Rand Paul is taking steps toward a presidential campaign, the Kentucky Republican will come out with a new book early next year.

That's about the same time frame Paul has said he'll make a decision about a White House bid.

Paul told Louisville's Courier-Journal, which first reported the story, that the timing was "just coincidence, probably just coincidence."

The senator did not share the book title but said the subtitle could possibly be "Beyond Partisanship."

"Beyond the left-right paradigm kind of thing," he continued, according to the Courier-Journal. The libertarian-leaning senator added the book will focus on policy and the "uniqueness" of his approach to a lot of issues.

He has authored two other titles, "The Tea Party Goes to Washington" (2011) and "Government Bullies: How Everyday Americans Are Being Harassed, Abused, and Imprisoned by the Feds" (2012).

Last year he was accused of plagiarism in some of his speeches and writings, including in "Government Bullies." Paul ultimately took responsibility, saying his office had been "sloppy" and pledged to add footnotes to all of his future material.

Will this book have a chapter on misinformation and how to spread it?

"I never, ever cheated. I don't condone cheating. But I would sometimes spread misinformation. This is a great tactic. Misinformation can be very important."

"So, that's my advice," he concluded. "Misinformation works." Oct. 17, 2013 University of Louisville, Ky

Will his book come with crayons or have a talking horse? If not, how will you deal with mentally challenged republican's short attention spans?

A new book will be a test of his intelligence. Common sense should tell him that any formal article, or a book, that he "writes" will be thoroughly subjected to scrutiny for plagiarism. Will he hire meticulo8usly competent people to work for him, or will he re-use the lazy, incompetent, "good people" types again"

I wish the MSM would stop referring to Paul as " libertarian-leaning senator". I know that is the line he is running with but most of his comments are pro-ultra-conservative. Libertarians generally refer to themselves as fiscally conservative and socially liberal, but he has been pro-"freedom" to be bigoted all along so I am not buying it.

I'm not buying into it, either. A tiger cannot change his stripes. The way he votes speaks louder than the way he talks.

Republicans no longer have policies. Their experiments with Trickle down your leg economics, the Bush Doctrine, government shutdown, debt ceiling debacles, unnecessary wars, lowered credit ratings, and saying "No!" will not win National elections

Yo Landa- There you go, trying to think. Once you start thinking, you will be welcomed as a democrat. As a side note, unlike Fair, on occasion, your posts actually can be clever.

You're pretending that a state senator voted "present" on every vote that was taken. By changing the subject, you've acknowledged that Sen. Paul's Senate voting record does not reflect what he's been espousing for the last several weeks and months. Sen. Paul's record speaks for itself. The renowned racists that he had working on his staff speaks for itself. It's not like he couldn't know that they were racists because if that were the case, then he would be as incompetent as Gov. Christie has apparently been when it comes to picking advisers and inner staff.

He was "accused of plagiarism" by Rachael Maddow. That's like being accused of being a pill popping junkie by Rush Limbaugh. I'm just surprised a legitimate news service is still giving voice to those claims that have already been proven to be NOT plagiarism and were 100% politically motivated. Progressives are absolutely terrified of what a Rand Pual/ Libertarian movement within the Republican party would mean to their agenda. Even though they often agree with him on certain issues, the real power people within the party like Maddow, know exactly who they need to vilify at every turn.

Glad to see he has time to "write" books. I guess doing the job he was elected to do would be too much to ask.

... And I'm sure the book will be written phonetically so the Republican base can read it.

@Rudy, nice segue into Christie.....so let's talk about that killer of anti-corruption committees, that squeaky-clean, straight-shooting stud muffin governor of yours in the Empire State, since you want to change the subject. Please do enlighten all of us plebieans as to how your man is cleaning up Albany, and why you aren't bothered by his behavior. Oh, that's right, innocent until proven guilty, just like you gave Christie the benefit of the doubt.
