Washington (CNN) - It's been a year since New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky started taking jabs at each other, staking out their ideological territory within the Republican Party.
But the two potential presidential contenders have also been singing the same tune on a few issues as they get closer to 2016.
"You go to a Republican event and it's all white people—not because we're excluding anybody, but because we just haven't done a good enough job encouraging people to come into our party,"
No, it's because you've spent 60 or so years alienating every minority group in Amurika by going from "n-bomb this, n-bomb that" to "welfare queens," "mooches and leeches" and "protect us from voter fraud" and a sudden nutty temper tantrum over illegal immigration in response to the election of a black man....and you fooled NOBODY into believing that the change in language was matched by a change in the underlying intent and beliefs. "They" don't go to your "party" because you're liable to greet them at the door by handing them a cup of koolaid and fried chicken leg or a slice of watermelon, thinking that it's perfectly ok to do so and that it's what they would want. You are a party full of outright racists and their oblivious enablers. The party of "where's his birth certificate" and "he's a secret muslim". The party of "cantaloupe calves" and "take our country back" (yes, we know what you meant). The party of "nuh uh, you're the racist" and "democrat plantation." So no, champ....it's not that you failed o market yourselves well. You market yourselves extremely well. It's just that minorities don't like what you're selling because you're selling poison.
I wonder which of these guys will be bounced from the repupblicant party as a rino first? Not that I trust either of them, but they are venturing out of rwnj land with this crazy talk about letting furreigners and brown folks into the party... I mean, not any more than is necassary to be able to trot one out once in while to show their 'diversity'... "oh look... ben carson. One of outr fine nominees for president'. We also have a cruz and a rubio...
And wantiing republicants to go places they feel 'uncomfortable' to campaign... would that be anyplace outside the gated community? You mean off the country club?
Seems a little like a waste of time.... they just keep throwing the red meat to their rabid red (taker) state nascar crowd who they have so jinned up over the aufel libtards they will vote for whatever nut the teabaggers run...
Maybe paul and christie see the writing on the wall for these zealots and the reality they face if they DON'T stop being the party of stupid.
I know I do, but then again I'm a Democrat.
We are used to working in the terrible conditions of reality as we cannot afford one of those bubbles....
I hope they both run as a team , they work so good together . And they love some of the same things , like butter .
The word that make me take notice is "wider". Other than that they are both bullies and losers.
But the Democrats are only the lesser of 2 evils, knowingly and in vain trying to prop up and change things in an obsolete socio-economic system that is slowly breaking down. It would be nice to think we can solve some of our most pressing problems under the status quo, but clearly we cannot.
