Senate primary vote could end ugly Kansas GOP race

Washington (CNN) – Tuesday's Senate primary in Kansas could end another ugly showdown that pits a tea party-backed challenger against an establishment Republican incumbent.

The race between Sen. Pat Roberts and challenger Milton Wolf, a second cousin of President Barack Obama, has seen controversies over residency and Facebook photos, and a rare streetside confrontation.

  1. just asking

primaries are by nature contentious. isn't it funny how all republican primary contests are painted as 'ugly' by the left wing media. but none of the democrat primaries are painted that way? i wonder why? just another way for them to write about one more of their made up wars i guess.

Another nasty GOP vs Tea Party event.
As a liberal, I always root for the Tea Party in primaries because they generally get defeated in a final election. Let the crazy show!
The TP guy here is hardcore My Religion is Right guy. Just one Example: he is against abortion from conception for everyone, no matter what their personal beliefs are.

I think it is wonderful.... you now have an opportunity in most republicant races to vote for the person of your choice.

As long as one of your your choices happen to be either the old white establishment guy who's agenda is to keep down women, minorities, the poor, the LGBT community, in order to give tax cuts and other excellent benefits and rights to his wealthy old establishment white guy friends...
Or, the insane young white guy who's teabagger agenda is apparently to destroy America's democracy, or at least hold it hostage while they scream insane, silly, and wrong slogans and accusations all day every day (do these people work?).

When TP candidates win they generally go on to loose to the Dems in the end because they are crazy.
When TP candidates lose they go off blaming a vast government conspiracy or the "wrong type" of people voting.
There really is no downside when conservatives compete!

Left wing media.... The GOP owns the MSM. Any lie they pull out of their flat butts is printed without even attempting to find out if it's true. The GOP race is ugly. You have the establishments trying to take their party back after surrendering it to extremists after losing the WH in 08. Now that the extremists are no longer needed the GOP wants their party back but the extremists aren't giving up without a fight. I love it!!
