Hillary Clinton makes fun of herself on 'The Colbert Report'

Washington (CNN) - Hillary Clinton poked fun at herself on an unannounced visit to "The Colbert Report" on Tuesday night.

The former secretary of state, who has been on a two-month tour to promote her book "Hard Choices," joked with Stephen Colbert in a scripted segment about the amount of name-dropping in her book and her regular use of diplomatic language.

Bill Clinton to campaign for former aide's son

Washington (CNN) - No race is too small for Bill Clinton, especially when you are the son of a former Clinton White House aide and longtime friend.

Clinton will campaign for Rhode Island's Democratic general-treasurer candidate Seth Magaziner on August 27 at the Rhode Island Convention Center, a campaign spokesman tells CNN.

Poll: Clinton tops Christie in his home state

Washington (CNN) – Hillary Clinton is beating New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie on his own turf, a new poll finds.

Fifty percent of New Jersey voters - who reelected Christie in 2013 - said they would vote for Clinton over Christie if the presidential election was held today, according to a Quinnipiac University Poll released Wednesday. Forty-two percent of voters said they would pick the New Jersey governor.

WASHINGTON (CNN) - Tuesday's Senate primary in Kansas ended another ugly showdown that pit a tea party-backed challenger against an establishment Republican incumbent.
