Rick Santorum set to travel to Israel
(CNN) - Rick Santorum is heading to Israel.
The former senator from Pennsylvania and 2012 presidential candidate leaves Sunday for a three-day trip with a delegation of conservative and religious leaders, according to his group, Patriot Voices.

His travel will likely further stoke speculation of his interest in another White House bid. The Middle East tends to be a popular travel spot for presidential candidates hoping to boost their foreign policy credentials.
According to a press release with details of the trip, Santorum will mostly be in Jerusalem and is set to visit an Iron Dome facility. He's also scheduled to meet with government and military leaders, as well as Israeli Ambassador to the U.S. Ron Dermer.
The delegation includes Bob Vander Plaats, president of The Family Leader, a social conservative group in Iowa, and Foster Friess, a wealthy conservative donor who backed Santorum's 2012 presidential run.
In addition to Iowa, others in the delegation hail from South Carolina, Florida, Michigan, Alabama and Wyoming.

Gotta agree. For me it's partly that and also partly that I'm a grown, educated adult who doesn't like watching people stupider than me lie to my face in obeisance to the advertising industry.

I don't think that Israeli/ Palestinian problem would be solved by amateurish political games of failed presidential hopefuls. Rick Santorum seems to have forgotten the old proverbial words....CHARITY STARTS FROM HOME. What US voters want from him is how to bridge the gap between the rich and poor in US.
..rather than dramatising fruitless foreign policy swings.

I have to admit we've been seeing more and more of these "filed under Who Cares" articles on the ticker. What started nearly 5 years ago as political debate has become nothing short of gossip and other nonsensical political fodder. A couple weeks back, I became completely disillusioned politically ... packed my car, headed north, and spent the week avoiding all things political.
Here it is two weeks later and I'm ready to once again repeat that trip.

Sniffit- A Dem. started the Korean War for America ? I thought it was the Soviet backed N. Koreans who came streaming across the informal border at the 38th that started the conflict ? Yes, Pres. HST decided to throw in American forces to try to stop the Korean Peninsular from being totally controlled by these Communists. Japan was an American Protectorate w/no military next door. HST thought that was the right move. History confirms that decision.
And BTW, it was the Japanese Military that started WWII for America, not Dem. Pres. FDR;regardless of what Fox News told you.

Well first you get 2 Million Dollars. And if that doesn't work, read the directions! So you skipped school and now you want to be rich? Don't go to Israel.

The level of journalism and truly relevant political stories around these parts has never been anything to brag about around these parts, but there were significant decisions and events happening that made it worth returning here to chat about.
The level of fluff, supposition, innuendoes, milking of off-the-cuff remarks made by irrelevant and obscure politicos does appear to be at an all-time high recently.
Pardon my hurried posts, the warden is doing a "bed" check and I might as well be typing under my desk.
