Westhampton Beach, New York (CNN) - Hillary Clinton, who has yet to comment about the protests over the death of an unarmed black teenager in Ferguson, Missouri, ignored questions about the incident on Sunday.
After signing more than 700 books at Books & Books in Westhampton Beach, Clinton was asked by two reporters for her reaction to the controversy.

Clinton ignored both questions and left the bookstore.
Liberal activists and civil rights leaders have asked Clinton for her response, saying she is the presumed front-runner for her party's presidential nomination in 2016 and that she has commented on major news stories in the past.
Michael Brown was shot dead earlier this month by a Missouri police officer. The shooting sparked large protests in the St. Louis suburb, which were highlighted by looting and a sizable police presence.
Attorney General Eric Holder visited Ferguson last week to check in on the federal civil rights investigation into the shooting, and President Barack Obama's White House has begun to look into the equipment the federal government provides to police forces.
At a rally earlier this month about the killing, Rev. Al Sharpton, a civil rights leader and host on MSNBC, said, "Jeb Bush, Hillary Clinton, don’t get laryngitis on this issue."
He then added, "Nobody can go to the White House unless they stop by our house and talk about policing."
Clinton was well received in the tony New York beach town. Countless attendees urged her to run for president and some even demanded that she do so.
"You've gotta run," said one woman. "I want to vote for you." Another tried guilt, telling Clinton that voting for her was on her bucket list. "You can't deny me of that, right," she added.
Clinton also slightly tipped her hand on running a few times.
When one man said his brother was her youngest canvasser during her failed 2008 bid, Clinton respond with a smile, "Keep up your strength."
Another man asked Clinton for her campaign contact, to which the former first lady replied, "Oh, I don't have a campaign yet."
Two attendees offered mild protest to the former secretary of state. One asked a question about the United States' role in Iran and another said he disapproved of the way Clinton handled the Arab Spring.
In the latter case, Clinton urged the man to read her book.
What a despicable, uber left elitist. This witch wants to be president?? HAHAHA.. what about her lack of responsibility, lack of accountability and lying about what happened in Benghazi? MSM? HELLO ???
Dodges the question and bolts, now there's some leadership for you. Guess her handlers haven't polled the correct enough answer yet, hehe. Yet another great example of why the far left progressives are going to have a hard time voting for her, but vote for her they will anyway, merely to toe the party line.
what is she supposed to say about ferguson? there is no right answer, whatever she says will be lambasted by one side or the other, plus no one knows all the facts yet, if anything it looks like the policeman will not be charged...is she supposed to hoist al sharpton on her shoulders so he can preach his nonsense from a higher elevation?
Who cares if they didn't want to get pulled into the Ferguson mess, its obvious CNN would of made their comments sound racist no matter what.............
She's smart. There's no right answer to those questions. She would either be seen as someone who supported a criminal or someone who isn't concerned about police brutality. She alienates a bunch of people either way. Obama should have stayed out of it, too.
No matter what. Got to sell the book.. No matter what.. Got to sell the book.. No matter what.. Got to sell the book.. But this is NOT the only place thats getting this.. And IT IS BEING POSTED by unbiased journalists.. And the toys will be removed very shortly from those it never should have gotten in first place. That post already out and accepted too..
"Nobody can go to the White House unless they stop by our house and talk about policing." The nerve of Fat Albert and his narcissistic attitude like anyone care what he says. Living in the past makes for a sad day in America. Let the facts come out first, then convict or acquit.
If another Clinton is all, or the best the party can offer? I will not vote – or perhaps vote independent.
The brown-nosers in this story are pitifull and so is candidate Clinton. To want this woman elected, given her record, is to show that you are completely ignorant of her record, yet you want her elected anyway. G od help America, we are sim,e going down the drain and not coming back, as long as people vote with this mentality and it doesn't matter if your a dem or GOP.
why should she comment?
As she should. A media blown up controversy has no business being given serious consideration
Well, let's be honest: At this point, what difference does it make what Hillary Clinton has to say about Ferguson?
This man attacked a Police Officer. I don't think there is much to say about it. Maybe, "don't do that".
When in the Hamptons, what does the rest of the world matter? Politicians are by their own design avoiding transparency big time and there are some places that make hiding even easier.
I'm disappointed in the coverage at Ferguson .Cnn and Msnbc are treating the police officer fairly. He has not been found guilty, and not been charged with any crime. The reporting has become so one sided.Msnbc allows Al Sharpton to spew hatred and race baiting, and then allows him to go on their program. The man is an opportunist and should have been put in jail(Tawana Brawley). The two above T>V. stations are now off my list.

why bother reading a book full of spin and lies. everybody can see for themselves that iran continues to develop nukes and the entire middle east has been on fire since clinton and obama backed these arab spring extremists and through several of our allies under the bus or killed them.
but not to worry, hillary clinton got a wonderful four year global vacation compliments of the taxpayers and there was absolutely nothing positive accomplished in her 4 years as secretary of state. truly pathetic that she anybody would consider this professional vacationer ready for the white house.
"Nobody can go to the White House unless they stop by our house and talk about policing."
Of course they can. Rev. Sharpton has stigmatized law enforcement as a bias rather than tying the debate to the origins of crime. The neighbors know where bars need to go on windows and doors of their "house", and it's not so they're protected from the police. Address the real problem, Rev. Sharpton, and you'll get more visitors and respect.
What is more interesting than this inane article is the fact that cnn has no comments open on our newest war. Once again "they are capable of attacking U. S.
They ARE bad guys. so are the people running our country today.
That's what anyone that hasn't seen the evidence should say.
when is the black community ever silent when one of their OWN is the casualty?
the gov't ought to order half staff whenever there's another statistic.
perhaps then, every death of their color is hero and should never be forgotten.
make yet, another mark on the calendar as their number goes up every minute of each day.
Why has CNN pulled all the comment threads? What is up with that???
On a side note, mainly because this is the only thread open, you wonder why police officers react the way they do? Just take a look at the story about the officer shot in Texas. We are fast becoming a third world country. Let's try some more liberal ideals to trash this nation into non-existence.
Hillary Clinton should stay as far away from that circus in Ferguson as she can.
Militarization of the police concerns me, in the sense that they need to be first responders even if they are responding to well armed militant groups or invasions by hostile nations, but we don't want those weapons turned on people exercising their Constitutional rights. Who is responsible for drawing the line? Why not have the military store those weapons in armory annexes and arm them when they need to be armed, after getting approval from the Governor? Just a thought.
Because she is a coward, like most liberals.
Can't criticize the voting base.
Let 'em do what they want to.
