That time Obama wore a tan suit and Twitter freaked out
(CNN) - President Barack Obama on Thursday took some questions in the White House press briefing room about serious subject matters - ISIS, Iraq, Syria, Russia.
But the reaction on Twitter was largely focused on his rarely worn tan suit.
Within seconds of stepping into the room, tweets were already firing off about Obama's pre-Labor Day attire. And by the end of the news conference, a few Twitter handles had been created in honor of the suit.

From a fashion standpoint, it does make one's skin look lighter.
Who really cares? I have custom made suit, the exact same color. Being blonde haired and blue eyed, it looks pretty good on me.
I only wear it during summer months, but it wears well. So it's not the standard black, navy blue and grey charcoal with the usual burgundy or cherry red tie? Good for him. Something different.
*shrug* If a tan guy can where a black suit, why can't a black guy wear a tan suit?
He is an elected president twice. I don't give darn hoot at tan, green, or red.
Remember when Jimmy Carter wore pretty much nothing but soft-tones?
If you need any more proof that Americans are stupid and lazy, that we obsess over the superficial because our eyes glaze over at the thought of having to confront actual detail, here it is.
Remember the detergent commercial where the stain on the guy's shirt was talking louder than he was? Yesterday I was Obama's lip moving but I all I could hear was his jacket saying things like: "Hey, Dude, I'm a teenager. How's this jacket look on me?" and "Whoa, don't get mad at me. You know that all I have is on the job training. This foreign stuff is hard, Dude!"

Well.. how shallow people are.... I rather the President to wear a tan suit than wearing a blue suit and starting a war by deception so 4,200 young soldiers would die, more than 30,000 would return wounded emotionally and physically, more than 100,000 iraquies dead, billions of dollars unaccountable, a vicepresident (who should be in jail) collecting from Hulliburton.. Mr. President.. wear a tan suit any time if that keeps young soldiers alive....
And then there's Rep. King (R) who was on CNN complaining about the lack of seriousness of Obama's suit saying "he looks like he just came in from a party", while the ever-so-serious, ever-so-hyperpartisan Rep King was wearing a wrinkled sports coat, wrinkled white shirt without a tie, looking like he just came in from a 3-day drunk.
Guys look what is happening around the world. There is a jihad army of 50,000 funded by oil revenues and armed with US weapons. Russia is about to launch a full invasion of Ukraine. Why in the heck are we talking about Obama's suit? We don't need to be talking about how "cool and hip" Obama looks in a suit. We need to look at how a complete object failure this guy has been in regards to foreign policy. THE WORLD IS ON FIRE!! I don't think Obama is too hip, he needs to get off the golf course and get to work.
Are you serious, people upset about the president's suit choose. The president who is able to run the country well, and address the hard truths, and make life and world changing decisions to better the country and the people who live there. Do we really expect him to only wear black or blue suits ! And if suits make a person, then perhaps all the negative people with the negative comments, should buy a suit. Then come back to reality, of what we should be really be concerned about.
I was a little disappointed in his wearing the TAN suit, because he didn't look very presidential in it. DARK colored suits just seem to command RESPECT, unless they with a RED tie.

Maybe if you guys stopped reporting on utterly worthless topics, more people would focus on important matters that are spiraling our country into the toilet.
