Why it took Obama so long to address his 'no strategy' comments

WASHINGTON (CNN) - It took five days for President Barack Obama to address the controversy he caused by saying "we don't have a strategy yet" to defeat ISIS.

Wednesday, the President attempted to clarify what he meant by specifying that he was referring to ISIS inside Syria while highlighting the U.S. strategy in Iraq of airstrikes to weaken the extremist terror group that calls itself the Islamic State.

I would much rather have a cautious President than one who will listen to the war hawks like McCain and Graham who want an all out war. Glad he was not nominated President we would be fighting all the time.

When he made the statement about no strategy he was answering a question about Syria from Chuck Todd and the media went ballistic taking it out of contents as usual. I would rather him take his time instead of boots on the ground and bringing our men and women home in a body bag.

TAKE AS MUCH TIME AS NEEDED MR. PRESIDENT this is a war of the Middle East they have been fighting each other for years and years. Do only what you can do to protect the US and our interest like keeping weapons of mass destruction from this barbaric group.

This is why you need strong secular leaders like Assad and Saddam Hussein in these countries. So that these extremist groups will gain any foothold to become a threat to the world.

Surprise, Surprise, no comments from Boehner, and some of the other GOP members they are enjoying their vacation but yet they criticize the President for playing golf. Not a peep from Cheney I wonder what he would do?

@sonny, nice try this isn't about kissing his kids, this is about not being a leader, blaming and ducking away from problems, he clearly stated while running for office, Potus doesn't get time off, look it up, he needs to focus and siop blaming everyone and everything for his mistakes, we are weaker, and far worse off than when he came to office, yes it sucks for all of us
