First on CNN: New spot in ad-wars over Obamacare

Washington (CNN) - A conservative group that's spent millions attacking Democrats over the new health care law this election cycle is going up with a new TV commercial supporting a Republican congressman in Montana who's running for that state's open U.S. Senate seat.

The ad by Americans for Prosperity thanks Rep. Steve Daines for his fight against the Affordable Care Act, better known as Obamacare.

RNC targets Democrats over Obama insurance pledge

Washington (CNN) - There's no let-up in the new year in the GOP push to attack Democrats over Obamacare during the midterm elections.

Case in point: New radio ads announced Tuesday morning by the Republican National Committee that attack 12 Democratic senators and representatives, many of whom are in competitive races this November. The ads focus on President Barack Obama's broken pledge that people who liked their health insurance plans could keep them under the Affordable Care Act.

Conservative group spends $2.5 million in new ad campaign

(CNN) - A conservative group is kicking off the midterm election year with a multimillion-dollar ad campaign that targets three Democratic Senators facing tough re-election battles in November.

Americans for Prosperity, which spent $16 million on television ads in the fall, will unleash another round of commercials that hammer the trio of lawmakers for supporting Obamacare.

Washington (CNN) – A group of evangelicals in favor of passing immigration reform have a message for House Speaker John Boehner: "We're praying for you."

In new ads, Evangelical Immigration Table–group that has been behind immigration reform on Capitol Hill–asks people to pray for Boehner and House Republican leadership on immigration reform and urge those leaders to listen to their prayers.

(CNN) - A conservative group says it's spending six figures over the next two weeks to run a TV commercial in Louisiana that criticizes Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu over her support of Presidential Barack Obama's judicial nominees.

"Mary Landrieu voted for every one of Obama's liberal activist judges," the narrator says in the 30-second spot by the Judicial Crisis Network.

Cheney features daughters in new TV ad

(CNN) - Republican Senate candidate Liz Cheney is going up with a new campaign commercial that touts her family's Wyoming roots and showcases her three daughters.

The release of the TV ad comes one week after Cheney, the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, was involved in a very public spat over same-sex marriage with her younger sister Mary, who's married to another woman.

(CNN) - Critics have long poked fun at House Speaker John Boehner's teary-eyed tendency. But now Democrats are comparing the speaker to a baby throwing an all-out temper tantrum.

During the commercial breaks of Sunday's game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the New England Patriots, viewers in Boehner's district will catch a 30-second ad with a close up of a wailing baby.

Christie releases first ad, spends $1.5 million

(CNN) - Gov. Chris Christie's re-election team released its first television ad of the general campaign Thursday, highlighting the New Jersey Republican's record as a bipartisan leader.

"They said it couldn't be done. New Jersey was too broken, too partisan. But they never met Chris Christie," the narrators says, also pointing to some of his budgetary and legislative accomplishments. New Jersey has a Democratic-controlled legislature.
