Washington (CNN) - Some advice truly is timeless. Some elections are extra special. Jeb Bush is looking hard at 2016, but many close to him have doubts. If you keep saying something over and over again and you are Joe Biden, does that make it true? And can "severely conservative" be topped?

More money headed to Florida race
Washington (CNN) – The Chamber of Commerce, which is vowing to be more aggressive this election year, is planning to buy more ads in next month's contentious special election in Florida, a source familiar with the Chamber's activities told CNN.
In a couple of days, the Chamber will air new ads with a message of checks and balances on behalf of Republican Dave Jolly. Jolly is facing Democrat Alex Sink, Florida's former chief financial officer and the 2010 Democratic gubernatorial nominee, in the March 11th election to fill the remainder of the term of Rep. Bill Young, who died last October.
Did Marco Rubio inhale?
(CNN) - Sen. Marco Rubio isn't saying whether he ever smoked marijuana.
Asked at an education forum at Miami-Dade College on Monday whether he ever smoked marijuana, Rubio answered: "If I tell you that I haven't, you won't believe me. And if I tell you that I did, then kids will look up to me and say, 'Well, I can smoke marijuana because look how he made it. He did alright so I guess I can do it too.'"
Charlie Crist invokes Jeb Bush on condition of GOP
(CNN) – Charlie Crist, the Republican-turned-Democrat who is running for governor in Florida, echoed former Gov. Jeb Bush in describing what he characterizes as an extremist turn in the GOP.
"I think I'll quote Jeb Bush. He said it better than I ever could. Today's Republican Party, at least the leadership, is perceived as being anti-women, anti-minority, anti-immigrant, anti-education, anti-gay couples, anti-environment," Crist said Wednesday on CNN's "Piers Morgan Live."
Biden to campaign for House candidate in tight Florida race
(CNN) - Vice President Joe Biden will campaign for the Democratic nominee in a heated House special election in Florida that's widely considered a bellwether race for the 2014 midterms.
Biden will appear at a fundraising event for Democrat Alex Sink, Florida's former chief financial officer, next week, according to an invitation obtained by CNN.

Jeb Bush makes endorsement in Florida special election
(CNN) - Fresh after the first debate for the March 11 special congressional race in Florida, two Republican groups announced large ad buys backing the GOP nominee, David Jolly.
Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush endorsed the Republican in a 30-second spot released Tuesday by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

Florida ’16 poll: Christie falls farther behind Clinton while Jeb Bush gains ground
(CNN) - Another new poll from a crucial state in presidential election years indicates Gov. Chris Christie has lost support in Florida and would trail potential Democratic contender Hillary Clinton by 16 percentage points in the Sunshine State.
According to the Quinnipiac University survey, Christie has the backing of 9% of registered Republicans in the state, down from 14% in November.
Florida poll: Charlie Crist leads incumbent Gov. Rick Scott
(CNN) - Ex-Florida Gov. Charlie Crist, vying to reclaim his former post, has a 46%-38% lead over incumbent GOP Gov. Rick Scott in this year's governor's race, according to a Quinnipiac University survey released Thursday.
The poll shows that the Republican-turned Democrat is ahead of Scott on most issues, and a majority of registered voters don't think Scott deserves a second term.
Florida to vote on legalizing medical marijuana
(CNN) - Florida voters will get a chance to vote on legalizing marijuana in November.
The Florida Supreme Court on Monday approved wording that can appear as a ballot initiative during the midterm elections later this year.

Trey Radel to resign from Congress
Updated 10:58 a.m. ET, 1/27/2014
Washington (CNN) - U.S. Rep. Trey Radel, the Florida Republican who pleaded guilty to cocaine possession last November, will resign from Congress on Monday, he wrote in a resignation letter to House Speaker John Boehner.
Radel was caught buying cocaine from an undercover federal agent in Washington and spent nearly a month in a substance abuse program in Florida.
