(CNN) – Mitt Romney on Thursday announced the endorsement of Ohio governor John Kasich and the state's lieutenant governor, Mary Taylor.
The top two Republicans in the swing state cited the former Massachusetts governor and likely GOP nominee's and business credentials.

Kasich 'pleased' by auto recovery, but won't take sides in bailout dispute
Orlando (CNN) - Ohio Gov. John Kasich said Wednesday he is grateful for the recovery of the American automobile industry, a cornerstone of Ohio's manufacturing sector for decades.
But in an interview with CNN, the Republican refused to wade into an ongoing dispute between Democrats and GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney over the federal bailout of the auto industry.

Cain: I'm against 'collective hijacking'
Dubuque, Iowa (CNN) - Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain on Tuesday reiterated comments made a day earlier that he supports collective bargaining rights for public employees, which could put him at odds with some of his rivals and hurt him among some conservatives.
During an editorial board meeting Monday with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel in Wisconsin, Cain said that he supported workers' right for collective bargaining. One day later following a campaign event in Dubuque, Iowa, he declared, "Let's clarify what I said. I am against collective hijacking."

Perry takes sides in Ohio union fight after Romney dodges issue
Cincinnati, Ohio (CNN) - Texas Gov. Rick Perry took sides Tuesday in the ongoing battle over organized labor in Ohio, coming down forcefully on the side of Republicans who want to drastically limit the collective bargaining ability of public sector unions.
The Republican presidential contender made a point of weighing in on the issue after his rival, former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney, visited Ohio and left questions about his position on an upcoming ballot measure that would overturn the anti-union legislation.

Terrace Park, Ohio (CNN) -Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney stepped into the middle of the charged battle over organized labor in Ohio on Tuesday, but he avoided weighing in on the contentious legislation that would dramatically limit the collective bargaining rights of public sector unions.
The former Massachusetts governor visited an Ohio Republican Party phone bank in the suburbs of Cincinnati, where GOP volunteers were contacting voters about two hot-button measures that will be on the Nov. 8 ballot.

Kasich unloads on LeBron, declares Mavericks 'honorary Ohioans'
(CNN) - In a declaration laden with veiled jabs at NBA all star LeBron James, Ohio Gov. John Kasich on Monday declared the Dallas Mavericks honorary Ohioans.
The move came less than 24 hours after the Mavericks defeated James and the Miami Heat in game six of the NBA Finals to win their first ever NBA championship.

Washington (CNN) -– The highly anticipated ‘golf summit’ between political rivals has found its fourth player: Republican Ohio Gov. John Kasich will join President Barack Obama, House Speaker John Boehner, and Vice President Joe Biden on the links June 18.

Ohio collective-bargaining battle gets personal
Columbus, Ohio (CNN) - In their bruising fight over collective-bargaining rights with Ohio's governor, police and firefighter unions have put their battle cry on a bumper sticker, "Help the Middle Class, Ticket Kasich."
The one-liner is a reference to a 3-year-old routine traffic stop that Gov. John Kasich would rather forget.
