(CNN) - Republican candidate Teddy Turner, son of CNN founder Ted Turner, took to parody in his latest television ad, urging voters against choosing a "career politician" for the special election in South Carolina's 1st Congressional District.

In the 30-second television spot, a smarmy actor looks directly into the camera as he holds a glass of wine and pleads with a smug smile for the viewer to take him back.
