Washington (CNN) - Former U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords and husband Mark Kelly, on their nationwide gun control tour, met former President George H.W. Bush this weekend.

Giffords and Kelly met Bush and former first lady Barbara Bush for lunch on Saturday at the Bush compound in Kennebunkport, Maine.
