Wisconsin leaders respond to temple shooting

(CNN) - Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, who survived a recall effort in June, released the following statement Sunday on the Sikh temple shooting in the Milwaukee suburb of Oak Creek:

"While the situation in Oak Creek continues to develop rapidly, we are working with the FBI and local law enforcement. I became aware of the situation late this morning and continue to receive updated briefings.

Romney heads to the Hill

(CNN) - Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney will meet with seven senators on Capitol Hill Wednesday.

The Romney campaigned confirmed he will sit down with Senators Scott Brown of Massachusetts, Orrin Hatch of Utah, Mike Lee of Utah, Bob Corker of Tennessee, Jeff Sessions of Alabama, Jim Risch of Idaho and Thad Cochran of Mississippi.

Obama news conference at 11 a.m.

(CNN) - President Barack Obama plans to have a news conference at 11 a.m. ET Tuesday, the White House announced. He will discuss the budget proposal he released Monday.
