White House warns Easter Egg Roll could be canceled

Washington (CNN) – Ticket holders for the upcoming White House Easter Egg Roll are being warned the annual event could be canceled if lawmakers can't agree on a measure funding the federal government.

As for now, the event will go on as planned – though warnings have gone out to members of Congress and ticketholders that a partial government shutdown would cause the egg roll to be scrapped.

Obama headed to California for fundraisers

(CNN) – President Barack Obama is heading back to the Golden State for fundraisers in April, emailed invitations to the events show.

"Just wanted to give you a quick heads up that Barack will be back for his first visit of his 2nd term on Thursday, April 4, to help retire the debt of the Democratic National Committee that remains from our victory in November," tech executive Wade Randlett wrote in the invitation to supporters. Randlett is the chairman of the Bay Area Democrats.

No 'situation' required for Situation Room meeting

(CNN) – The meeting Wednesday between President Barack Obama and corporate bosses centered on a decidedly urgent topic, cybersecurity, but the meeting itself wasn't designed to respond to any particular threat.

So why did it take place in the White House Situation Room, normally reserved for the president's national security team?
