South Carolina debate: The view from the bleachers

Charleston, South Carolina (CNN) - On TV, you watch the body language of candidates and wait for the zingers that could tilt your vote a certain way. Or you can just get lost in the pomp of a hall bedazzled by star-spangled ribbons.

But behind the criss-crossed lighting and all the red, white and blue, there's a whole other show you don't see but hear.

Soledad Reports: 1788 votes at Amherst Street Elementary

Nashua, New Hampshire (CNN) -The voters marched into the Amherst Street Elementary School until minutes before the polls closed at 8 p.m. ET. The political theme for the night - change something, maybe even everything.

"My vote was sort of a protest vote," said Mark Berry, who is frustrated that his party fielded so many candidates who are party stalwarts.
