Lawmakers get first look at NJ bridge scandal documents

(CNN) - In a small room at the State House in Trenton, New Jersey sits hundreds if not thousands of pages of documents that may shed light on how access lanes to the George Washington Bridge in Fort Lee came to be closed in September.

The 12 members of the Legislative Select Committee on Investigations began the work of examining the documents Thursday as they look for answers in the traffic scandal that has rocked Gov. Christie's administration.

Job created for former Christie ally goes away

(CNN) - The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey job created for Gov. Chris Christie’s former ally David Wildstein no longer exists.

Agency spokesman Steve Coleman told CNN on Wednesday that the position of director of Interstate Capital Projects had been eliminated.

N.J. lawmakers merge Christie bridge probes

(CNN) - New Jersey state lawmakers voted on Monday to create a bipartisan committee to investigate the George Washington Bridge traffic scandal that has rocked the administration of Gov. Chris Christie.

The 12-member select committee on investigation is comprised of eight Democrats and four Republicans from the state Senate and Assembly.

Democrats: Christians CAN vote for us!

Charlotte, North Carolina (CNN) - Heads are bowed in prayer in room 211 at the Charlotte Convention Center.

At the Democratic National Convention, people of faith gather at a daily prayer session. They also work to figure out a way to spread the message that you can have deep religious convictions and still vote for a Democrat. It's a puzzle the party has been trying to crack for years.
